SATSANG AT YOGA SUTRA, NEW YORK CITY, FRIDAY MARCH 18, 2005

It's a beautiful early spring day in the Catskill Mountains as we drive into New York City for a RAM program at Yoga Sutra studio - a haven of RAM & HANUMAN devotees.

The New York public library shines across the street from the Yoga Sutra studios. This great collection has many rare and precious manuscripts, including an original printed Bible. A few years back, the Dead Sea scrolls were on display there in a comprehensive architectural and cultural exhibit. How fitting that this font of knowledge and wisdom graces the yogic font of wisdom of Yoga Sutra and vice versa.

We offer our greetings and gratitude to Ganesh - the remover of obstacles. One of many beautiful statues and paintings adorning the Yoga Sutra studios.

VISIT TO SAHAJ TEMPLE, Wappinger Falls, New York

One cold snowy winter night, we decide to adventure out into the universe. Ah, where to go! Oh, the divine SAHAJ TEMPLE in Wappinger Falls, New York. What a lovely corner of the cosmos it is. Baba gave a program there in 2001 during his first visit to the US. (It was the days before this magical digital camera.) Please journey with us to this magical divine king/queendom! We left late, and arrived after all the Arati (evening worship) participants had left. So we were alone in this glorious sanctuary except for the lovely lady chanting the Ramayana - filling the temple with sweet and sonorous hymns. And the temple priest, and a few temple officials. We fully enjoyed and soaked in this loving and gracious sweet energy.

Nandini, the vehicle of Lord Shiva, greets us and blesses us to pass through the glorious aisle of the gods and goddesses.

What a walkway of divine splendor greeted us in this glorious temple, honoring so many forms of the divine.

We were struck by the beautiful glowing golden light abundant in this supreme temple.

The golden light of RAM was emanating everywhere! Oh healing hands!

Even a golden celestial lotus was glowing!

We were drawn to the images of Ram, Sita, Hanuman and Lachman in the Ram Pavirar niche.

Even though we arrive late on a cold winter night, this beautiful devotee is chanting from the Ramayana. What ambrosia to walk into this gorgeous temple and hear the time-honored royal scripture reverberating through the temple. So much love and devotion emanated from this dear woman's heart as she sang the glory of the supreme.

Late at night, while the world sleeps - well these side of it, anyway - Baba tries out his new compositions on the synthesizer. The pipe organ setting sounds just like the harmonium! Um, and it's lighter weight for travelling, too!

Oh, that new bhajan is really ecstatically beyond beautiful!

HANUMAN, CARRYING THE MOUNTAIN OF HEALING HERBS TO THE FINAL BATTLE WITH THE DEMONS

HANUMAN, CARRYING THE MOUNTAIN OF HEALING HERBS TO THE FINAL BATTLE WITH THE DEMONS

Lachman, brother of Ram, was revived with aromatherapy through the grace of Hanuman, flying magically to the Himalayas and bringing back a whole mountain of healing herbs so the doctor could select the right one to wave under Lachman's nose. The powerful healing scent revived Lachman pronto!

Read about how healing essential oils allowed me to make my trip to Mt Kailas in Tibet in 1999 where I was guided to meet Milk Baba at Pashupathinath Shivam Lingam power spot in Kathmandu. This 13 week trip was filled with drinking dirty river water, sleeping on dung-filled freezing ground, and eating food full of flies. Yet I remained perfectly healthy using the ancient medicine of essential oils - aromatherapy. Just like Hanuman! Indeed, my name, Anjani, means the MOTHER OF HANUMAN!

RAMA AT HERMITAGE OF SAGE ATRI

Pahari School, Chamba kalam, Kangra idiom Circa A.D. 1780-1785

After Bharata had left, Rama was weighed down with sadness and felt restless. The past clouded his spirit shattering the peace that had come to him in the beautiful surroundings of Chitrakuta. Moreover, Rama observed that the ascetics living there were filled with apprehensions ...
