Janaka Dasi, the great artist who paints the murals at Baba's Kuti in Kathmandu reported it was cold over there in January. Was it this cold? We were minus 17 degrees Fahrenheit, and snowed in with ice storms and snow blizzards for much of January, 2005. It was like being on Mt. Kailas for a winter retreat.
